*Nori Ushijima developed his artistic techniques during his long career in Rome, Italy where he attended the Accademia di Belle Arti statale di Perugia and earned his doctorate degree in in l´istituto Centrale del restauro presso il Ministero dei Beni Cultural ed Ambientali. The techniques he uses are the same as those used by the great masters, such as egg tempera and casein, oil painting, fresco, sgraffito and engraving.
In Italy, Nori developed the Fresco and Sgraffito techniques, which he applies in his murals. They are carefully constructed with antique techniques and are designed with careful attention to quality and longevity. He does this so that the murals can be displayed both indoors and outdoors and be an integral part of any type of architecture. They are suited to any functional necessity, adding beauty without sacrificing function.
Nori cannot be classified as a simple “painter.” He is a visual artist in all dimensions: a painter; a muralist; drawer and an engraver. His murals add a dynamic element to spaces, making them come alive with beauty and excitement.
***** Nori Ushijima desarrolló sus técnicas artísticas durante su larga carrera en Roma, Italia, donde asistió a la Accademia di Belle Arti Statale di Perugia y obtuvo su doctorado en l'Istituto Centrale del Restauro presso il Ministero dei Beni Cultural ed Ambientali. Las técnicas que utiliza son los mismos que los utilizados por los grandes maestros, como el temple al huevo y la caseína, pintura al óleo, al fresco, esgrafiado y grabado.
En Italia, Nori desarrolló las técnicas del fresco y esgrafiado, que aplica en sus murales. Ellos son cuidadosamente construidos con técnicas antiguas y están diseñadas con una cuidadosa atención a la calidad y la longevidad. Él hace esto para que los murales se pueden visualizar tanto en el interior como en el exterior y ser una parte integral de cualquier tipo de arquitectura. 1978- licenciado en la Academia de Bellas Arte de Ochanomizu (Tokyo).

1983- licenciado en la "Accademia di Belle Arti"(Pietro Vannunci) di Perugia (Umbia/Italia)

1988-gana un concurso publico convocado de parte del Ministerio dei Beni Culturali ed Ambientali(Roma /Italia),como único extranjero entre11ganadores,para poder estudiar,investigar y trabajar bajo tutela de "L´istituto Centrale del Restauro"(Roma / Italia).

1991- doctorado con título de restaurador de obras de arte en "L´istituto Centrale del Restauro"(Roma / Italia).


Durante su larga estancia en Italia,realiza los siguientes importantes trabajos de restauración;

Filippo Lippi(Duomo de Spoleto/Italia) / Raffaello Sanzio/ Pietro Vannunci(el Perugino) /Giotto("Monastero di San Silvestro"/ Subiaco/Roma) / Bronzino/Guido Reni/ Paolo Veronese y Caravaggio, un ciclo de frescos de la Villa de Livia Dursilla en la zona de Prima Porta (periferia delnorte de Roma),Palacio Colonna de Roma( Galeria Colonna,Sala Grande/ Sala de la Columna Bélica/Sala de la Apoteosis de MartinV) etc.., A raíz de numerosos trabajos de restauración" sin querer" empieza a introducir en su creación pictórica técnicas antiguas como por ejemplo; encausto,fresco,temple al huevo,óleo, resina y a la casina.

1991-Se traslada de Roma al Euskadi de San Sebastián (España).

1992-realiza 2murales de grandes dimensiones con la técnica de fresco en los que representa una replica inspirada en la Sibila Delphica de Michelangelo Buonarotti de la Capilla Sixtina del Vaticano y alegoría del estilo helenistico de antigua gracia hecho sobre espejo.

1993-conferencia sobre el proceso de la ejecución pictórica de la técnica del fresco(Sibila Delphica) en la Universidad estatal de Bellas Artes de Tokyo(Japón) 

1994-realiza un mural con la técnica de fresco sobre espejo inspirado en la "Galata morente de II a.C.,"en el Hotel Codina de San sebastián(España).

1996-1997-realiza un retablo representado "la leyenda del hallazgo de la Virgen del monasterio de Valvanera(en latin ; Valles de Venus)con la técnica de fresco sobre soporte de fibra de vidrio para la parroquia de Arenzana de Arriba de la Rioja(España).

1997- expone en la Galería Arteko de San Sebastián(España)

1998- Se traslada a Barcelona( España) donde reside en la actualidad;

1999- expone en el museo del Castillo de Benedormiens de Platja d´Aro(Cataluña).

2000-realiza un retrato del Beato Julian Plazaola por encargo del Santuario de Loyola para la Parroquia de Santa María de San Sebastián (Gipuzkoa/España).

2001-expone en el Museo AranburuJuaregia de Tolosa( Gipuzkoa/España). 

2003-realiza un mural (fresco)de gran dimensiones titulado" Sueño del Rey Timanfaya"en los bungalows Nautilus.

2005-2006- tras 9meses de trabajo,concluye un espectacular mural con la técnica de fresco(330 x 1400cm)en el Caserío de Berasaluce en Mendaro(Gipuzkoa/España),en el que aporta su visión sobre los usos y costumbres guipuzcoanos "desde un ponto de vista atlético vasco",inspirado en el documental "Gipuzkoa"de Pío Carlo Baroja.

2009-realiza un mural "con la técnica de fresco",titulado "Bautismo de Berasaluce"para la ermita de la Trinidad de Mendaro(Gipuzkoa/ España).


2010-expone bajo el titulo de "Alusionismo" en la Galería Arteko(San Sebastián/ España) y Virgimie Boissére+Natalia Jiménez Art Contemporain(París/ Francia).


2011-realiza un enorme mural(188 x 1936cm) con la técnica de "esgrafiado tradicional",representado "la leyenda de la Princesa Ico" en los Bungalows Nautilus de Lanzarote( Canarias / España).

(1978)東京お茶の水美術専門学校 修了後,
1983) ,イタリア の ペルージャ国立美術大学の絵画科卒業.
(1988)イタリアの文化,環境庁内に ある ローマ国立中央修復研究所の選考試験に 初 日本人,唯一の外国人として合格.
(1991)同研究所で博士号を 受領。

イタリアで長い滞在中に フィリッポ ・ リッピ、ラファエッロ、ペルジーノ、ジョット、 ブロンズィーノ, グイド ・ レーニ、ヴェロネーゼ、カラヴァッジオ 等 の 芸術作品 そして古代ロオマ遺跡のリヴィア別荘跡のモザイクおよびフレスコ画, ロ-マの コロンナ ギャラリー宮殿のフレスコ画の貴重な絵画修復を 手がける :。その 後,その影響で, エンカウス,卵テンペラ,カゼイン テンペラなどの 古代絵画技術を彼の作品に導入し始める 。

1994年, スペイン バスク地方のサン ・ セバスチャン街のコディーナ ホテル内に注文で,ギリシャ神話をモチーフに上げた鏡上に 描かれたフレスコ画(ガ-ラタ)を描く。

1997年に スペイン リオ-ハ州の ヴァルヴァレーナ(ラテン語: ヴィーナスの 谷)の修道院の聖母の像の伝説を アレンサーナ デ アリーバ村の教会 祭壇画の中に 描く。


1998年,現在 住んでる スペイン バルセロナに引っ越し,その間, スペイン カタルーニャ州 の プラッヤ デ アーロ 町のベネドルミーネス城美術館 で 大展覧会を 披露.

1999年,スペイン バスク地方のサン ・ セバスチャン街のサンタ マリア教会の小聖堂に聖画を 飾るため,北 スペインのロイヨオラ大教会堂から注文を 受け,ロ一マ, バチカンから福者として選ばれてたサン セバスティアン出身の亡き フリアン プラッサオ-ラの肖像画を描く 。

2001年,スペイン バスク地方のギプスコア州のトロ一サ街のアランブール美術館で 1991- 2001の 回顧展を 披露.

2003年,スペイン カナリア諸ランサロオ-テ島の ナウティルス ホテル内で注文でフレスコ大璧画"ランサロオ-テ島のティマンファイヤ王の夢"を 手がける.


2006 年,スペイン バスク地方の メンダーロ町の山腹に ある"ベラサルーセ"別荘内で 大 フレスコ壁画(300x 1400cm)を 注文され,亡き有名作家"ピオ バロッハ のギプスコア州のドキュメンタリー的短本から "インスピレーション"を 受け,ギプスコア州の様ざま なバスク人の 実生活 を スポオ-ツ的 観点から見て, 9 ヶ月間で フレスコ技術を使って, 描き上げる。

2009年、スペイン バスク地方の メンダーロ 町 の三位一体礼拝堂の大フレスコ壁画"ベラサルーセの洗礼"を手がける。

2010年, スペイン バスク地方のサン ・ セバスチャン街のアルテコギャラリー と フランス パリの" ヴィルジニア ボイッセイエール+ナタリア ヒメーネス アート コンテンポラーイン ギアラリーで同時展覧会。

2011年,スペイン カナリア諸ランサロオ-テ島の ナウティ-ルス ホテル内で
ズグラッフィートと言う 紀元前6世紀の技術で,その後,イタリア ルネッサンス期 栄えた手法を 使って,190 x 1936cm の 超大型ズグラッフィート壁画"イ-コオ姫の伝説"を完成させる.
